St Thibery Abbey:

The Benedictine Abbey (L’abbaye bénédictine) and Church sit in the heart of the village. Founded in the late 8th century by Atilio, a disciple of Benedict Aniane, near the tomb of three local martyrs.

History:

St Thibery Abbey was established at the site of the ancient Celtic city of Cessero.

In the past the abbey used to attract many pilgrims who believed that the relics kept there had special healing powers.
