Discover Saint-Thibery...Discover the real South of France...

Step back in time in the ancient village of St Thibery. This is French rustic charm at it's best!

Built on the edge of a volcano, the village is surrounded by vines and sunflowers, it is also where the Rivers Thongue and Herault meet. The old Roman Road "Via Domitia" runs through the village (Grand Rue) and a Roman Bridge crosses the Herault. Many of the houses date back to 15th century. The Church has also been a place of Pilgrimage for many en route to Santaigo de Compestilla in Spain (The Way of St James)

St Thibery is ideally situated in beautiful Languedoc countryside and between the larger towns of Agde and Pezenas and the cities Beziers and Montpellier. It's 10 minutes away from beautiful Mediterranean beaches and a short distance to the Languedoc and Midi Pyrenees mountains. See Maps

Over 4000 years old, this former Celtic village (once called "Cessero") today gives its old name to the local wine

The village is undergoing enhancements during 2013/2014 - this includes a revamped village square in the center beside the church and brand new shops and library/mediatheque beside the Post Office.
